"R" - Reflexes (非條件反射)

Assessing Reflexes are part of our assessment of the neurological system.

Reflexes cannot be controlled, they are a response to a message that goes to the level of the spinal cord and back so we can gain a good understanding of the current neurological status of our animal. An example is the patella reflex- we do this in animals too.

Similar to humans, dogs may develop pressure sores if they lie on their bed or floor for long periods of time, if their mobility is reduced. Pressure sores often develop over bony prominences (the bony points with very thin skin and little fat covering) such as the hips and elbows causing damage to the skin barrier and discomfort.
