Assessing Reflexes are part of our assessment of the neurological system.

Reflexes cannot be controlled, they are a response to a message that goes to the level of the spinal cord and back so we can gain a good understanding of the current neurological status of our animal. An example is the patella reflex- we do this in animals too.
