Work Placements & Internships

Join Our Team as an Intern

Thank you for your interest in gaining experience with us. Please read the information below carefully before applying — it will answer most of your questions and help you decide if a placement with us is the right fit.

Please Note

Our internship placements are popular and slots often fill up to a year in advance. We strongly encourage you to apply early. Reading this page in full before contacting us will save time for both of us.

Who We Accept

Our placements are designed for those pursuing a career in veterinary care. To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

Duration & Schedule

Minimum Period

4 weeks (6 weeks preferred)

Working Days

Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays

Availability

Apply early — slots fill up to a year ahead

Nature of the Placement

It is important to set realistic expectations. Our placements are primarily observational. Many of our patients present with mobility issues, which means direct hands-on animal interaction is limited for the safety of the animals and our team.

That said, interns gain valuable insight into both physiotherapy practice and the day-to-day running of a small veterinary business — experience that is genuinely useful for your career.

What You'll Be Doing

What We Look For

Our team is small and every member plays an important part. We need interns who are:

Work Ethic

Flexible, hard-working, and mature in a professional setting

Communication

Confident and clear communicators — with staff, clients, and patients' owners

Adaptability

Willing to engage in all tasks, including administrative work — not just clinical observation
