"I" - Inflammation (and pain) (炎症)
發炎是身體對受傷的自然生理反應，是痊癒的必經過程。炎症的症狀包括紅腫、發熱、疼痛等。這幅使用熱像儀拍攝的圖像顯示了發炎的部位對比起其他地方溫度的差異。失去控制的炎症會使動物感到不適甚至痛楚。
