Because even cats love a good massage......

Because even cats love a good massage......

Hugo Boss is a ragdoll cat and a big boy at 10+ kgs. He has several joint problems but loves his weekly therapy and massage......

Tuesday 29th March 2016

Over many years his owners, alongside veterinary professionals, have tried to progress his weight loss with fit camp staycations at the veterinary clinic, weight management diets, separate microchip feeders for him and his svelte/ super slim sister, hydrotherapy exercise, supported harness exercise and the list goes on… But because of his painful arthritic joints, it makes any kind of focused weight loss with exercise very difficult.

Now that Hugo Boss is almost 14 years old, his owners prefer to focus his physiotherapy sessions on giving him time to relax and enjoy a lovely long massage along with therapeutic laser to ease the discomfort in his joints. Between weekly sessions, he uses an Assisi Loop (pulsed electromagnetic field therapy) and his prescribed medication from his family vet, to help him remain comfortable.

Our weekly sessions allow us to monitor his pain by using the Colorado State University pain score chart and report any changes to his owners and his family vet.

Hugo Boss loves his massage, as you can see from the video, and we love being able to support his family to give him relaxation and comfort he deserves.

Making muscles to manage hip dysplasia! Goldie puppy Fan Shu builds strength and stability.

When we met Fan Shu as a puppy at 10months of age, he had both severe hip dysplasia and a shoulder injury causing deformity and pain. Luckily, he was adopted and his pet pawrents bought him to us to first help with pain and then create an exercise plan to keep him both comfortable and build him up to be fit for life.
