Helping a doggie in need on the other side of the earth....

Helping a doggie in need on the other side of the earth....

We understand how stressful it is to have your pet in a bad shape during the holiday season, it is our pleasure to have helped Chance with a Help'Em Up Harness all the way from the US.

Here is what his pawrent says : "You are a miracle worker!! So very many thanks to you & your team for taking the time to help our family. It means more than you know. I realize you are all very busy - especially holiday time. There are no words to describe what you’ve done for us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

Cookie is having a happier life after her knee ligament rupture rehabilitation

"She’s as strong as an ox now and her curved back from when you first met her and all her leg issues are a thing of the past. Thanks for the fantastic job you did!"

Kira (pet:Cookie)

Cookie is having a happier life after her knee ligament rupture rehabilitation

Our helper was taking her for a walk and apparently there was a party in the mud she had to go to.... Came back over 2 and a half hours later. Poor helper was so stressed, as we're! But she clearly had the best time! She now wears her GPS tracker at all times.

Her knees are definitely not holding her back!!! Thanks for the fantastic job you did!

She has also continued to catch stuff, so far a huge rat, so many frogs and a bird. Fortunately, all but the bird was released unharmed. But the neighbourhood cats she just wants to play with which confuses the hell out of them!

She's as strong as an ox now and her curved back from when you first met her and all her leg issues are a thing of the past. She's always at the beach and is obsessed with mud and rivers. So clearly not feeling any pain in the legs at all!

Definitely a much happier and healthier dog!

Kona gaining more confidence walking!

"It’s been really exciting to see him making such progress especially at his age."

Genta (pet:Kona)

Kona gaining more confidence walking!

It’s been really exciting to see him making such progress especially at his age. Before we came to you and before we started physiotherapy with you, he needed help getting up and now he is getting up and down so easily. He’s enjoying a little bit longer walks, and he just has a lot more confidence on the wood floors, so everything is great. We’re just very, very happy.

Retired work dog, Fensi, happily running and tail wagging!

"Thank you for not only taking care of Fensi's joints and muscle problems, but also for noticing her lumps along the mammary glands so we could have them removed just in time!"

Cherry Lau (pet:Fensi)

Retired work dog, Fensi, happily running and tail wagging!

Dr. Jane & Mag, I want to thank you so so much, not only for taking care of Fensi's joint and muscle problems, but also for noticing her lumps along the mammary glands so we could have them removed as it turns out that those are carcinoma, but not spreading yet, we got them out just in time! I cannot thank you enough! Can I hug you in our next session?

"One of the best things to happen on our journey in seeking the best recovery options for our beloved 9 year old Pomeranian Dau Dau was being introduced to Dr. Jane."

Adrian (pet:Dau Dau)

Dau Dau started walking again after his spinal injury

One of the best things to happen on our journey in seeking the best recovery options for our beloved 9 year old Pomeranian Dau Dau was being introduced to Dr. Jane.

Dau Dau had a very acute onset of most likely a Hansen type 1 disc. We were advised by our initial neurosurgeon to try to keep him under conservative management to try to minimize surgery impact but as he not get better, we had to put him through surgery 3 months later. Good thing was the surgery went well, the other was not only did he need to learn to use and control his limbs post spinal surgery, he also had significant muscle atrophy following 3 months of limited mobility.

Extremely fortunately we were referred to Dr. Jane very early in his recuperation stages. She set out realistic expectations from day one, making sure we understood she was not Hermione Granger, but she would be able to deliver a custom exercise routine for our dog, with respect to our time and space limitations, to maximize what Dau Dau could achieve. One of the positives about home therapy sessions was she was working in the space and environment where Dau Dau lived and would be undergoing their exercises so she could really work out what exercises was possible. We were also realistic in understanding we weren’t aiming to see him come back 100% post such a serious prognosis, but we were hopeful he could restore some primitive mobility and basic quality of life.

Dau Dau started off his physiotherapy with no limb control; he had some feedback and sensation and Dr. Jane tailored exercises for us to work him frequently throughout the day to start building his nerve sensations and limb control back. The results over the first few weeks were nothing short of amazing. Dr. Jane put a lot of effort to monitor his progress and redesigning exercise drills as he slowly built back his mobility and muscle. She also monitored whether we were overworking him at times (as he was very responsive to his physio sessions) and lessened some of the exercises as well. I remember very well one morning when he shot into our room in his training wheelchair quite early on in his physio recuperation. Both my wife and I thought our helper had pushed him in as there was no way at that stage he had that much control. But we were truthfully shocked when we turned him around in the wheel chair and he just darted out of the room by himself by kicking his hind legs. We were honestly quite surprised at that moment and did rethink about Dr. Jane’s self-claim about not being Hermione!

My wife and I have no reservations in recommending Dr. Jane in any capacity. In fact I’ve asked my mum to seek our Dr. Jane’s help as well for one of her older Pomeranians just to make sure he can have some exercises to keep his body fit enough to go further. A stronger muscle always lessens the loads on the bones and joints.

Massive woofs of thanks to Paws in Motion!

"Paws in Motion have been the most massive help, educating me as an owner on how I can make life better for my dogs as they age, providing practical home based tips for improvement and offering fantastic client support when questions arise."

Karina (pet:Shelby)

Massive woofs of thanks to Paws in Motion!

My adopted spaniel cross needed help following TPLO surgery with VSH. The surgery was a massive success, but she really had very bad knees and hips to begin with. We needed a weight loss/management plan, pain management and mobility improvements! Paws in Motion came highly recommended, so following the initial visit where a through history and health check was performed, a plan was put in place for my beloved Shelby.

Over a year and a half, following a detailed and easy to follow weight management plan, Shelby dropped about 4kg! She was also having laser treatments once every 3 months or so which helped and we got a detailed list of home activities to continue to strengthen her muscles and help her move better. We are now climbing mountains I never thought we would be able to!
Paws in Motion have been the most massive help, educating me as an owner on how I can make life better for my dogs as they age, providing practical home based tips for improvement and offering fantastic client support when questions arise. They provide items such as the Assisi Loop and various supplements too for different issues (which all have their ingredients and benefits comprehensively checked) and they deliver!
Don't wait until there is a problem to contact them! Have your dog assessed before they need help and learn custom tailored things you can do to help your pet as they grow!
Thanks Paws in Motion!

"We met with Dr Jane and Dr Sonya and they both are very nice and professional. Dr Jane has identified the issue and has designed a set of programs for him, including daily home exercise, laser treatment on a weekly basis and the Assisi loop."

Angela (pet:Snoop)

"Snoop is more happy now and he can resume his daily walking exercise!"

Our 18 years old Shih Tzu boy Snoop used to love running and walking until recently he could not walk with his front legs. He is suffering from Vestibular disease as well as neck problem, hence affecting this front legs. We made him a cart to support him however, that is for supporting only and his two legs were still like frozen and could not move. He sometimes got frustrated. We met with Dr Jane and Dr Sonya and they both are very nice and professional. Dr Jane has identified the issue and has designed a set of programs for him, including daily home exercise, laser treatment on a weekly basis and the Assisi loop. With only one laser treatment, Snoop is able to walk using all his four legs, especially the front legs, walking with the cart. He is more happy now and he can resume his daily walking exercise!

Rosie's long rehabilitation journey

"Dr. Jane and her team has been so supportive making the post-surgery recovery period so much more copable"

Connie (pet:Rosie)

Rosie's long rehabilitation journey

Rosie our dear poodle doggie was rescued with a deformed elbow & two bad back legs; we were told that she would need to be amputated and get surgeries on her back legs; but has fortunately been referred to Dr. Jane, who has always been so patient, and tailor designed various fun and helpful home exercise for Rosie to regain muscle strength.

Rosie went through a surgery on her front elbow, Dr. Jane and her team has been so supportive making the post-surgery recovery period so much more copable, not only in giving us advices/recommendations/exercises on how to help her recover, but also giving us a lot of emotional support, so we know that things will be ok!

Dr. Jane also always take time to explain to us how the muscles/ joints work, which is very interesting.

We hope that more people willl benefit from Paws in Motion's services!

"Rusty is now a different dog, he can go up and down the stairs and even tries to stand up."

"Fortunately, I had been referred to Dr. Jane who has been patient and helpful to us."

Irene (pet:Rusty)

"Rusty is now a different dog, he can go up and down the stairs and even tries to stand up."

I adopted Rusty in mid of Dec 2018 and took him to the vet for his follow up. I was being told of his serious conditions, need to amputate his left hind leg and his right hind leg is also in poor condition which is unlikely to support him plus right hip luxation too. Fortunately, I had been referred to Dr. Jane who has been patient and helpful to us.  Dr. Jane has designed some home exercise, provided laser therapy to promote muscles tissues and pain management for Rusty to regain his strength and flexibility. Rusty is now a different dog, he can go up and down the stairs and even tries to stand up.

I highly recommend and hope that more people will benefit from Paws in Motion services.

Pippa is doing well after her hip surgery rehabilitation!

"She’s now back out with us, on the trails and up the mountains!"

Tara Smyth (pet:Pippa)

Pippa is doing well after her hip surgery rehabilitation!

She’s doing REALLY well! She’s now back out with us, on the trails and up the mountains! We see very little evidence of her leg having had the operation, i.e., she rarely lifts it up and she goes up and down stairs using all four pins!

""I haven’t seen her canter in months and two days in a row she’s been like this on her walks! Thank you."

"Barney is like a different dog since your visit!"

"What you do is pretty amazing and I learned a lot. You were also fantastic with Barney so thank you for that as well."

Rosie R (pet:Barney)

"Barney is like a different dog since your visit!"

Hi Jane,

Many thanks for coming to see Barney on Friday. What you do is pretty amazing and I learned a lot. You were also fantastic with Barney so thank you for that as well. We got the report and it was good to have all the reminders and info. Barney loves the hot pack and is more than happy to sprawl out with it on his right shoulder. He is also completely unfazed by the Assisi loop and is happy to have it sitting on him. The ‘gel nails’ are helping too... in fact Barney appears to have a new lease of life after your visit.

Barney is like a different dog since your visit ! He absolutely loves the Assisi hoop. He lies perfectly still for the time it is on. Barney is already looking forward to your next visit

Warmly,

Rosie

Apart from a little occasional problem on the skin, Buddy is doing excellent. I am sending you some photos of him so you can adhere them on your notice board (or post on your webiste) and always remember how grateful we’re for all you’ve done. Thank you for everything you’ve done to enable Buddy runs like this again. He's very keen on giving the birds a fright and chasing them, like what he used to do.

Burton jumps again

"Burton has returned to jumping to the chair, table, sofa and was easily moving up the stairs to his favourite resting place"

Corine Koster (pet:Burton)

Burton jumps again

I was so worried about Burton! He seemed to be getting so old! But after just 3 physiotherapy treatments, my little Burton had returned to jumping to the chair, table, sofa and was easily moving up the stairs to his favourite resting place. Soon he was back to his old self, happy to play again and starting to work on his exercises. He misses you both now, and his spa days, but he's loving his new garden in Geneva! His vet here cannot believe he is this great at 18 years old and thinks my vet friend did a very very goooooood job in HK.

Helping Ah B feel more comfortable

Dear Dr Jane and Sarah,

I just want to send this card to thank you for the time, care and patience you have given Ah B over the past 12 months. Your support and treatments have made his debilitating condition a little easier to bear even towards the end.

Ah B lived to a ripe old age of 15 years and though it was heart-breaking to let him go, he was blessed with people who loved and cared for him with kindness and compassion.

We are forever grateful for all that you’ve done for him.

Love always,

Lily

Improving Sky's quality of life with exercises

Dear Dr Jane and Sarah,

We Ma Wanians wanted to express our sincere gratitude for all you have done for the Park Island guard dogs, Peaceful and Sky. You have brought Sky a harness and a peanut ball to help him stand and walk. These were his best moments in the last stage. You always give careers very clear explanations and keep all parties well-informed. It's people like you two that really care and that really make this world a better place. All your professional advice to the management office helped Peaceful and particularly Sky received better treatment and care that he needed. We couldn't thank you enough.

Samson regaining his balance

"he loves his regular massage and laser treatments, especially since he can enjoy it all in the comfort of his own home"

Sara Kitaoji (pet:Samson)

Samson regaining his balance

Thank you to the awesome Paws in Motion team. One month post amputation, Samson is regaining his balance with 3 legs and appreciating life without bone cancer and he loves his regular massage and laser treatments, especially since he can enjoy it all in the comfort of his own home. The high rush of endorphins means he is passed out snoring for hours, at least until supper time. Dr. Jane has also tailored an exercise regimen to tone his tummy and back legs. Luckily this old sweet warrior will do almost anything for food.

Thank you

Swimmer's syndrome kitten across the ocean in Australia

"Thank you very much once again – your knowledge and understanding of the condition so helped!"

CATHERINE - VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA (pet:Kitten)

Swimmer's syndrome kitten across the ocean in Australia

You were kind enough to reply to my email regarding our gorgeous Ragdoll kitten who had swimmers syndrome.  I wasn’t getting any help from any vets in the area and you were of enormous help to me.

He is doing absolutely perfectly.  It was exactly what you suggested with him being too big for his bone, ligament and muscle development as he was by far the biggest in the litter with a big tummy!  Both his front and back legs were splayed significantly, he was completely flat. (One vet told me it was neurological problem and I needed a referral to a specialist vet).

I was doing exercises with his legs frequently and I made a ‘run’ for him where he had to walk between two barriers which were close and which kept his legs in – we did that three times a day. As he got a few weeks older, he started to get a bit trimmer. He is now nearly 12 weeks old and his legs, both front and back, are perfect and he is running about no different at all to the other two in the litter.

It certainly wasn’t easy but we’ve learnt a lot – particularly that it’s rare in kittens and no vets around here know about it! Thank you very much once again – your knowledge and understanding of the condition so helped!

Taco getting beach ready

"After a few times of treatment, he became much calm and happy."

Iris Wong (pet:Taco)

Taco getting beach ready

Paws in Motion was highly recommend by Taco's vet after he had a diagnosis of degenerative joint disease (DJD) in 2016. Taco's temper was first very sensitive and grumpy due to the pain of his lower back.

After a few times of treatment, he became much calm and happy. With Sarah's help, I have been able to cut down Taco's diet and help him to lose weight  in an efficient and scientific way.

The team is very friendly, professional and never late for visit!  Most important thing, they are all animal lovers!!

Two seniors, Kota and Keira

"Jane and Sarah have visited the Ks regularly to make sure that they are in the best possible shape to face their advancing years. Kota, in particular, benefits from the intensive sessions which combine laser therapy and manual massage."

FIONA ALEXANDER (pet:Kota and Keira)

Two seniors, Kota and Keira

Two years ago, on 16 June 2015, I was introduced to the most amazing team at Paws in Motion, led by the awesome Dr. Jane McNae.

My two seniors, Kota and Keira, have been looked after by Jane and her wonderful assistant, Sarah Millar since then. Kota and Keira, or the Ks as they are known, were adopted from LAP when they were almost 10 years old and will turn 15 in August and October, respectively.  Jane and Sarah have visited the Ks regularly (first bi-weekly and now weekly) to make sure that they are in the best possible shape to face their advancing years. Kota, in particular, benefits from the intensive sessions which combine laser therapy and manual massage.  He is developing age-related weakness and stiffness in his hind legs and hips and is markedly more spritely after the sessions.  He has so much more energy, he insists on longer walks and goes at a very steady pace. Keira is always by his side and is a naturally bouncy dog, refusing to admit she’s going to be 15!

Jane and Sarah are now part of our extended family and take such great care of the Ks.  I see such wonderful results from the sessions that I often think I would benefit from getting a once-over from Jane and Sarah, myself!

Yuby loves his loop

"...and by the 3rd day, he surprisingly stood on his hind legs after taking a bath!! He hadn't been able to do that for many months..."

Susan Ng (pet:Yuby)

Yuby loves his loop

Hi Dr Jane,

The Loop helps Yuby a lot. After using on the first day, we all noticed that he was walking around the house a lot more. And by the 3rd day, he surprisingly stood on his hind legs after taking a bath!! He hadn't been able to do that for many months. Usually he would sit in there and waited to be carried out.

Thx for prescribing him such a great device!!

Best Rgds,

Susan & Yuby

My young and energetic dog suddenly preferred standing and resting in the park instead of playing and running one day.

"After 1 week, the shaking was gone. She is much happier and resumes splinting with her friends and climbing up stairs after a month!"

M.Y. (pet:Laurie)

My young and energetic dog suddenly preferred standing and resting in the park instead of playing and running one day.

I noticed that her left hind leg was lifting up and shaking when she came back home. Our vet reassured us there was nothing too concerning and only regular rest was needed. Feeling that we could help her with more running days, we gave Encore Mobility a go. After 1 week, the shaking was gone. She is much happier and resumes splinting with her friends and climbing up stairs after a month! We mix the supplements in her kibbles so there is no stress in feeding. Thank you for keeping my dog moving!

A big thank you again to you and your team!

"It has been really easy to incorporate all the exercises and things into Merry’s daily activity! We’re very happy with her mobility and she seems to be more comfortable!"

N.L. (pet:Merry)

A big thank you again to you and your team!

Merry is doing great after a physiotherapy session with Dr Jane to make sure she is not suffering from any pain nor discomfort! I’ve kept her hikes shorter and have been using the Assisi Loop regularly afterwards.

Post TPLO Surgery Rehabilitation

Post TPLO Surgery Rehabilitation

We’re so glad that Den How is doing well and thank you for all your help. There is a noticeable and significant improvement on her recovery time between her first TPLO surgery and the second one where she’s had you assisting with her recovery.

Post Revisit.

"She seems to be much happier!"

R.Y. (pet:Hulda)

Post Revisit.

Thank you so much Jane. Hulda went to the garden after the treatments and is tanning now.

We would like to thank Dr Jane and her profession team taking good care of our little Happy.

"I'm also so proud of myself that I’m a good parent because I chose the best vet for my Happy."

Daisy (pet:Happy)

We would like to thank Dr Jane and her profession team taking good care of our little Happy.

Dr Jane is not only very professional but also very caring. She has good connection with other vets which helps Happy being treated properly and promptly. We are so lucky to have Dr Jane, without Dr Jane's treatment, professional advices and referral, Happy's pain would not be relieved so quickly.

Wong Wong can walk now after using the Assisi Loop for 2 weeks!

"Wong Wong is 14 year-old and we started treating his Intervertebral Disc Disease with the Assisi Loop."

Erica (pet:Wong Wong)

Wong Wong can walk now after using the Assisi Loop for 2 weeks!

Intervertebral Disc Disease was severely affecting Wong Wong. While pain medications were fed regularly, I used the Assisi Loop 2-3 times daily over Wong Wong's spine to help reducing pain & inflammation.

Wong Wong couldn't really get up by himself for a period of time during winter so I increased using the Assisi Loop 4-6 times daily to regulate blood circulation. After 2 weeks, Wong Wong could get up by himself and he can walk slowly for a longer time.

I'm so happy that Wong Wong can get up by himself again, eat by himself and do his business by himself without support. I'm also thinking of getting the Assisi Loop Lounge for a more cost effective use for long-term since it is super effective.

Thank you team for helping and guiding along the way.
